All The Swords In The Legend Of Zelda Series

In The Legend of Zelda series, our hero has seen a lot of different swords, from the simple starter swords to the famous Master Sword.
Link is a warrior with the power of multiple goddesses behind him. One of his greatest strengths isn’t the Triforce of Courage or his many useful items that can turn the tide of battle in his favor, but his ability to wield a sword like a master even when he’s a child.
Link’s weapons have changed a lot over the years, but his amazing swordsmanship has stayed the same, from the first game to Tears of the Kingdom and probably beyond. Which of these cool swords has the blade that looks the sharpest?
Every Starting Sword

In the Legend of Zelda games, there are many different starting swords, but they are all just as good or bad as each other.
The Kokiri Sword in Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, the Sword in the first Legend of Zelda, the Practice Sword in Skyward Sword, the Wooden Sword, which appears in multiple games, including Twilight Princess, the Fighter’s Sword from A Link to the Past, and the Forgotten Sword from A Link Between Worlds.
Now I’m taking a breath. OK, let’s keep going: the Ordon Sword from Twilight Princess, the Hero’s Sword from The Wind Waker, and the Recruit’s Sword from Spirit Tracks all do about the same amount of damage and teach the player how to use a sword.
Razor Sword

The first sword upgrade you can get in Majora’s Mask is pathetically weak compared to how hard it is to get. It makes the Kokiri Sword do a lot more damage, but it breaks after 100 hits, so the player will have to go back and buy it again when it breaks.Since the game wasn’t built around the idea, this was a bigger problem in Majora’s Mask than in the more recent 3D Zeldas.
The worst thing about this is that it doesn’t work at all when Link turns back time, which is an important part of the story and makes it a waste of rupees even though it does more damage.
Giant’s Knife

The Giant’s Knife from Ocarina of Time has the same problems as the Razor Sword from its sequel, but it is slightly better because it has a much longer reach, is easier to get, and isn’t lost when using the Master Sword stand to go back and forth in time.
Even so, it’s easy to break and not worth the rupees. Players would be better off doing the long trading process for the Biggoron Sword instead.
White Sword, Picori Blade, And Noble Sword

These three swords are tied for this spot because they are all improved versions of the starting sword. However, they are not as strong as the swords that come after them. The first time the White Sword was used in this way was in the first Legend of Zelda. It came back more than once, including as one of Fi’s moves in Hyrule Warriors.
The Picori Blade is a basic weapon that can be upgraded into the Four Sword. The Noble Sword from Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons is a middle-of-the-road sword that can attack with sword beams but is weaker than both the Biggoron Sword and the Master Sword.
Royal Guard’s Claymore

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom make it hard to include much from them besides the Master Sword because they have a lot of weapons that will almost certainly break with use and boil down to (very useful) attack stats. But the Royal Guard’s Claymore is good enough to deserve its own entry, especially in Tears of the Kingdom and if you attach a strong enemy horn to it.
Not only does the Royal Guard’s Claymore have a great attack stat, but it also hits with a very powerful blow right before it breaks. It’s the kind of weapon you’ll want in your collection even if it’s blinking red, which means it’s about to break. In fact, that’s the best time to use this beast of a sword.
Goddess Sword

The main story of Skyward Sword is to turn the Goddess Sword into the all-powerful Master Sword over the course of the game. This is in addition to the goal to save Zelda and defeat Demise. Even though it isn’t as strong as it will be in its final form, the Goddess Sword is still quite a bit stronger than most other average swords, especially in some of its later upgrades.
Four Sword

The Four Sword, which shows up in Four Swords Adventures and The Minish Cap, does for Vaati what the Master Sword does for Ganon: it keeps the bad being away as long as no one forgets that’s what it’s for.
Even though the Four Sword isn’t as strong as the Master Sword, it has the unique ability to split Link into four separate beings. This gives him an edge against the forces of evil for one of the first times ever.
Oshus’s Sword

In Phantom Hourglass, Oshus’s Sword is the second-most powerful sword in the game. When Link uses the skills of the three fairies he can find, it is a big step up from the previous sword.
The sword can also be made stronger with the help of Leaf, a fairy. Another fairy, Ciela, gives you the ability to shoot sword beams, which can be made stronger by collecting Courage Gems that are hidden in the game.
Phantom Sword

The Phantom Sword, the last sword you can get in Phantom Hourglass, is not only stronger than Oshus’s Sword, but it also gives Link the ability to fight Phantoms, which he could only run away from before.
You can also use the three fairies to improve the Phantom Sword in the same way you did with Oshus’s Sword, but it does much more damage.
Lokomo Sword

The Lokomo Sword is an improved sword that can be found in Spirit Tracks. It looks a lot like the Master Sword from Wind Waker. But the hilt is green instead of the Master Sword’s signature blue.
Like the Phantom Sword, the Lokomo Sword is very good at fighting Phantoms. However, instead of killing them straight, it stuns them long enough for Zelda to take control of them.
Gilded Sword

In Majora’s Mask, the Razor Sword is the second update for the Kokiri Sword. Thankfully, it is a lot better than the Razor Sword. The Gilded Sword is great for the rest of Snake Game because it has a much cooler look and a big attack boost. It also won’t go away when time is reset and has a longer reach than the Kokiri or Razor swords.
Magical Sword

Even though the Master Sword is one of the most famous parts of the Legend of Zelda games. It didn’t show up until A Link to the Past. Before this famous SNES game, Link’s most powerful weapon was the Magical Sword from the first Legend of Zelda. It was a big step up from his first sword.
Like the Master Sword, the Magical Sword can shoot sword beams when Link is at full health. It was reliable enough to come back as Link’s main weapon in the sequel, The Adventure of Lin. And is also one of the many weapons Link can use in Hyrule Warriors.
Great Fairy’s Sword

The Great Fairy’s Sword is the second most powerful sword you can get in Majora’s Mask. It is a bright pink greatsword with a rose-petal pattern down its blade that makes it stand out from most of the other swords in the series.
Even though it is very powerful, the player can’t get it until late in the game. They can’t get it until they find every Stray Fairy in the Ikana Canyon dungeon. Which is the last dungeon before they face Majora on the moon.
Biggoron Sword

The Biggoron Sword has been in the series many times. But the most famous time is when it was the prize for a long trading sequence in Ocarina of Time.
The Great Fairy’s Sword is stronger, but you can’t get the Biggoron Sword until late in the game. While you can get the Biggoron Sword soon after becoming an adult.
Master Sword

Even though its form tends to change from game to game. The sword that seals that darkness has become one of the most famous weapons in all of video games.
Link’s Master Sword is often the best tool he can use in his adventures. In most games, except for some 3D games, it can shoot sword beams even when Link is at full health. Even though the Master Sword is very strong. There is another sword in the line that makes it look like a stick.
Fierce Deity’s Sword

This is the huge sword that comes with Link’s Fierce Deity form in Majora’s Mask. You can only get it by giving the Children of the Moon every mask in the game. Except for the ones that change your appearance.
Link can fire very powerful sword beams while wearing the Fierce Deity Mask, even if he isn’t at full health. This makes what used to be a hard boss fight against an all-powerful magical creature into a joke that can be won in a few minutes.
In Tears of the Kingdom, the base damage of the Fierce Deity’s Sword is higher than that of the Master Sword, but it can be broken. You can at least buy it back. The point is that Zeldas of today might have a good reason to put the Master Sword first.
